Taranaki family-owned Egmont Honey was co-founded in 2008 with a single beehive and has grown into a successful business with over 4,000 hives.

Beehives are placed in the Manuka stands of the Taranaki rainforests, some in very remote areas. No commercial pollination, harmful pesticides, or chemicals are used - this helps reduce the decline of bee numbers and ensure quality products.

Egmont beekeepers are responsible members of the Unique Manuka Factor Honey Association; they ensure that Egmont Honey is tested independently and is certified for its purity and high quality.
